The name “Microcochlea” derives from the fusion of the Greek word micrós (small) and the Latin word còchlea (spiral – which can be likened to the thread of a screw). Microcochlea was founded in 1987 and started manufacturing rivets and small special screws, for industries involved in the production of parts produced on automatic assembly lines.

Over the years, the company has grown and developed the technology for the production of increasingly more complex parts and has thus been able to diversify into other sectors and become a world leader in the field of cold forming wire.

The Microcochlea group is composed also by Eurotools S.r.l. – “Meccanica di Precisione”.
